Good morning, afternoon, & evening to you all. Welcome back to the most random newsletter on the internet. Got 4 mins? Let’s dive in.
So you may be wondering “that’s a random title for this week's newsletter” or maybe you aren’t wondering. I don’t care. I started with that because it’s a great reminder that the world doesn’t revolve around any one individual. What we perceive as normal doesn’t mean it’s felt or understood that way everywhere. Just a nice reminder as we walk about through this game called life.
Lets start here.
They want to tax stuff that you’ve never touched before. Imagine being invested fully into an asset and then they want you to pay taxes on it, as if you’ve benefited materially from it already. In this world. I’d have to sell my bitcoin to pay my bitcoin related taxes. Then they’d probably tax me again for taking it out in the first place. These people… are all unfit to lead.
Oh, they also want to make it so any purchase over $600 needs to be reported and if they think it’s “suspicious” you can get audited or thrown in jail. Fun times.
In other news, corruption is everywhere, but we aren’t surprised by that right?
In other-other news, do you want to do shady stuff that can’t be traced? Stick with paper money.
This post by Ryan reminded me of a conversation I have at least once a week with founders about their startups, but honestly, it’s about everything in life. Click the post to read the entire thread.
With all that being said, I will remain cautiously optimistic about Andrew Yang in 2024.
This post from Jai made me laugh. Some days I just feel like day trading and buying nfts, it’s easier than trying to convince someone to take a chance on you and often much higher rewards.
Also wanted to remind anyone who is trying to start a new company or nft project to Keep it stupid simple… or was it simple, stupid.
Lastly, we are entering the phase of mania for bitcoin. If you need advice, reach out. You’re going to need to keep a cool head as prices surge these last 3 months. Just keep that in mind as you think “this is never stopping”
Last month was peak fear. This month, we start heading in the other direction for a very long time.
Let’s take a hard right turn and get deep.
Whether it’s your company, your relationships, your physical/mental health, focus on improvement regardless of who is watching you.
I honestly had the wrong mindset until last year, and since the change, it’s been life-changing.
Know your weaknesses and turn them into a benefit. I love to get addicted, so I’ve focused on my additions on helping others and becoming healthier.
Let’s take another hard turn and talk about brand growth.
I made a personal goal to hit 1k followers on Twitter and break 100 followers on YT this year. I hit both goals, so now what? 100 subs to the Newsletter would be ideal and I think I need to make a TikTok…
Would I be lying if I said I wish I smashed those numbers even further? Heck no, but, I do appreciate everyone that has joined me early on in this journey. Thank you. I have a feeling that if I ever do become a much larger name, I’ll yearn for the good old days. The grass is always greener.
I also realized how much I enjoy hearing random loud conversations in public. This one made me laugh at myself and shake my head. Hope you enjoy it too.
It was a moment of self-reflection for sure.
Oh and P.S…
P. P. S. This corndoge looks into your soul.
Same time next week?
