Good morning, afternoon, & evening to you all. Welcome back to the most random newsletter on the internet. Got 4 mins? Let’s dive in.
I want to start with a funny story. The other day I did a thing on Twitter. Taking an absolutely ridiculous statement and copy/pasting and tweeted it out. Here’s the tweet.
Pretty sure most people took it as a joke but I do know that some did not… the power of the internet is people are naturally trusting and most people stop reading after the first sentence. In the last sentence, I literally say…
Doing it for INSIDER TRADING
Don’t believe everything you read, and read the whole thing. Promise? Thanks.
Switching gears, people who have read my newsletter know that I’m very much jaded towards the current system of leadership and politics but honestly this was a very refreshing perspective from Hester Peirce, Commissioner of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
To be determined if Hester can maintain the stance and ask the hard questions in the world full of paid-off shillers but it was still refreshing to read this speech. I liked it so much I read it twice and words are hard for me.
On the topic of broken systems let’s talk about the middle class and the housing market. Two tweets, you can be the judge of the health of the US from a financial perspective.
I can’t imagine jumping into a commitment like owning a house with a friend. Especially if it isn’t a rental home but one where we both live in and want to build equity with. Sounds messy.
The more things stay the same the larger the gap becomes. Or something like that… I lied… one more tweet about the current state of things
BUT I’m hopeful for what may come with this new Political Party led by Andrew Yang… but only time will tell where this goes.
Please Forward Party, anything but what has currently been done. Just do the opposite. When in doubt DTO.
Okay changing lanes now. I’ve got some news, by the end of this month my i’ll officially be launching A Theory Co, my lifestyle brand company. I call it a brand company because I don’t want to limit it only to shirts. 50% of all my net profits will go to charity. Hopefully one day those checks are huge.
I made a short video about this on YT that I’ll link below explaining why I started a “side hustle”
I was joking with someone who asked me why I was juggling so many things and I said I wanted to be retired at 40. One must say it out loud to make it happen.
I’m actually still 34 so I guess I have some buffer on my "by 40” goal.
I don’t want to retire so I don’t have to do anything, I want to retire so I can focus on helping others.
Same time next week?
You’ve made it this far on my word vomit newsletter? I appreciate you! I’ll be back next week with the next edition of the most random newsletter on the internet.
