Did you know we are all astronauts?
In November we all blast off to the moon (historically anyway)
Good morning, afternoon, & evening to you all. Welcome back to the most random newsletter on the internet. Got 2 mins? Let’s dive in.
Two topics, one is of course the crypto bull market. The other is just another reminder about the scarcity of life.
First of all, for everyone that is experiencing the power of the price action associated with bitcoin, you saw exactly what it was capable of in the month of October.
What if I told you that historically November is even wilder?
There are a few trains of thought on what will happen next for bitcoin and crypto at large.
it has a blow-off top going into the end of the year (this is my base case until proven otherwise)
it bleeds into 2022 and is less dramatic but still has a top and regression
it never stops and continues on a methodical run-up in price
I’m sure there are other scenarios as well but those are most well-publicized in the crypto community.
As an investor or trader, especially if you are new you need to ask yourself two things.
are you okay holding through a downturn and prolonged bear market potentially
are you okay with leaving some profit on the table by selling while we are in an uptrend
There are other scenarios but they require more attention and expertise. It’s generally very hard to time a top or bottom which is why I usually say that dollar-cost average is the best approach for people who have a life outside of trading/investing.
If you want to talk more about strategy on this, let me know. Happy to chat about it. The worst thing to do is not have a plan as bitcoin is going up in price 10k a day or more.
The other side note I wanted to touch on is things like Dogecoin and Shiba Inu Coin.
This of course is not financial advice by any means, but tread carefully with those meme coins. They certainly can pump, but they can also dump. So just remember that FOMO is real and FOMO usually leads to ruin for 95 to 98% of traders. Anyway, if you feel like you are missing out, put $100 into it and be part of the “culture” and enjoy the fun.
The last thing I wanted to end on was this. I follow this Twitter feed and they posted the other day and I wanted to share it with you and also my message to you as well. I sound like a broken record at this point but oh well.
It made me remember what I used to do in waiting rooms.
As the holidays approach, I hope you’re thankful for what you have, grateful to those around you, and hopeful for the future. Make the best of it.
Time is finite.
Health is finite.
Memories last forever, make more fond memories.
The goal is for people to look back and think fondly of you. No amount of money or success replaces how you made someone feel.
Same time next week?
